五城目恋地スキー場 秋田県五城目町

Gojome Koiji was a ski area in the Koiji neighbourhood of Gojome Town in Akita Prefecture. It had two lifts. One was a rare ‘schlep’ lift and the other was a simple rope tow. The ski area opened in 1972 and was last open in 2004.

  • Gojome Koiji was a ski area in the Koiji 恋地 neighbourhood of Gojome Town 五城目町
     
  • Apparently, the official original name was Gojome Koiji Kokusetsu Ski Area 五城目恋地国設スキー場
     
  • This ski area had a rare schlep lift that drags people up the slope with skis or snowboard still on the snow surface
     
  • That lift was installed in 1977
     
  • A second lift was a simple rope tow on the left side of the slope
     
  • In 1982, the Koiji Sanso 恋地山荘 building opened at the base of the ski area
     
  • The ski area closed in 2004
     
  • Koiji Sanso was demolished in 2017
     
  • The schlep lift appears to still remain in place
     
  • In 2012, permission was granted for an off-road course (for motor vehicles) to be built around the base area
     
  • That facility is known as Off Road Park Koiji Yonkus! Land オフロードパーク恋地 Yonkus! Land
