Omote Manza Snow Park is a ski area located on the south-western slopes of Mt Shirane in Tsumagoi Village, Gunma Prefecture. The four ski lifts - one quad and three pairs - and facilities remain in place and the current status remains just 'closed', rather than abolished. From personal experience as well as reports from other people, it got very cold and windy up there!

  • Omote Manze Snow Park was originally known as just Omote Manza  表万座スキー場  and was owned by the Prince Group
    　
  • Access was via the Manza Highway  万座ハイウェー  toll road
    　
  • A charge was required to use the Manza Highway, but if you bought a lift ticket on a weekday the return toll was waived (at least at one time)
    　
  • Ownership of this ski area changed a few times, and from 2007 the name was changed to Omote Manza Snow Park
    　
  • Omote Manza Snow Park had a reputation for long lifts and for being very cold and windy, often enough to affect lift operations
    　
  • Even at its high altitude, some snow making machines were used
    　
  • The current official status of Omote Manza Snow Park is  休業  (suspension of business) and facilities apparently remain in place
