天北スキー場 北海道枝幸町

Tenpoku was a ski area located in what used to be Utanobori Town (now Esashi Town) in the northern region of Hokkaido. With one single lift and a simple layout, this northern-facing ski area was mainly used by locals. It closed in 2005, and the ski lift and facilities have been removed.

  • This ski area was located in an area known as Utanobori Kenko Kaifuku Muru うたのぼり健康回復村
     
  • It featured one single lift of about 800m in length
     
  • The ski area had a simple layout, with one main course coming down by the side of the lift
     
  • The top had the steepest gradient of 22 degrees, but the lower half was very gentle
     
  • A one-day lift ticket cost 1500 yen, and a season ticket cost 11000 yen
     
  • Tenpoku closed in 2005, and there are now large trees on parts of the old ski slope
     
  • The Green Park Hotel グリーンパークホテル was by the side of the ski area
     
  • The onsen (hot springs) hotel and Minami Soya Golf Course 南宗谷ゴルフ場 can still be found at the location
