Kawayu Nupuri

Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido

川湯ヌプリスキー場 北海道弟子屈町

Kawayu Nupuri was a ski area close to the Kawayu Onsen area of Teshigawa Town in the eastern region of Hokkaido. It was also known as Choei Kawayu Nupuri as it was operated by the town. The ski area opened in 1950, and a ski lift opened in 1962. Since closing in 1998, the old ski slope has quickly been reclaimed by nature and is increasingly covered with white birch and spruce trees.
