Further Information

  • It is thought that this ski are was open around the 1970s but so far no confirmation can be found

  • The slopes are now farmland with fine views looking north towards Yahiko and Niigata City

  • A wooden pole at the top area looks like it might be the remains of the rope tow lift

  • In most years this area now does not get enough snowfall for a functioning ski area to exist

  • There is a sports facility near the top area called Green Sports Center グリーンスポーツセンター

  • A skier is still shown on the information board by the entrance to the Green Sports Center (see above)
