Semi Onsen was a small ski area in the onsen hot springs area of the same name in Mogami Town, Yamagata Prefecture. Information on this ski area can only be found in one guidebook from 1993. It appears to have had one single lift, which has been removed.

Further Information

  • Semi Onsen was a ski area in the hot springs area of the same name in Mogami Town
     
  • According to a 1996 guidebook, it had one single lift, night skiing on Saturdays and holidays and a maximum slope of 28 degrees
     
  • No other confirmed information about the ski area can be found, either in guidebooks or online
     
  • The old aerial photograph from 1976 (above) seems to show the ski area and (perhaps) the lift on the left-hand side (of the image)
     
  • There was a large landslide on the old ski slope after very heavy rains in July 2024
