Madarao Kogen Toyota was a ski area located on the south-eastern slopes of Mt Madarao. It is less than 5km from the more famous Madarao Mountain Resort - traditionally known as Madarao Kogen - which is on the north-eastern slopes of the same mountain. Madarao Kogen Toyota had a simple layout with one quad lift from base and then a pair lift to the top. This ski area first opened in 2002 but it had a rather difficult and short history before closing in 2011.

  • When Madarao Kogen Toyota opened for the 2002-2003 season, it was the first new ski area in Nagano Prefecture for six years
