中条町民スキー場 新潟県胎内市

Nakajo Chomin was a small ski area in what used to be Nakajo Town, now part of Tainai City, in the northern region of Niigata Prefecture. It had a one rope tow lift. Little is known about Nakajo Chomin, and there is now no sign that there ever used to be a ski area at the location.

Further Information

  • The location of this ski area used to be known as Nakajo Town 中条町

  • Nakajo Town became part of Tainai City 胎内市 in September 2005

  • It is unclear when Nakajo Chomin opened and closed, but the ski area was mentioned in a few guidebooks around the mid-to-late 1970s

  • Those guidebooks say that it had a 120m rope tow lift (300 yen a go), a place to eat and rest, and parking for about 50 vehicles

  • The building at the base was, at one time, some kind of nursing home facility

  • On a visit to the location in October 2023, there were no people around, and none of the facilities appeared to have been used for a while
