Kakumanji was a small ski area located in what used to be Kawanishi Town but is now part of Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture. It opened in 1986 as a collaboration between volunteers, donors and the local town and was used mainly by local children. It is thought to have closed sometime in the mid 2000s.
