Further Information

  • Chidori was a small ski area with a gentle slope

  • It was surrounded by rice fields

  • One rope tow lift, less than 100m in length, serviced the slope

  • It is unclear when the lift was abandoned, but it might have been around the early 2000s

  • Beyond that, the slope seems to have been used for various playing-in-the-snow type events for the local community

  • On a visit in late 2024, there were still limited signs that this used to be a ski slope, including what looks like part of the bottom mechanism of the rope tow

  • At the top of the slope is a hut that housed the top of the lift, along with another building that might have been associated with the ski area
